Report on the Consultation on Long Term Sustainability of Research Infrastructures
Back in December 2015, the European Commission (EC) placed a targeted consultation on the long-term sustainability of pan-European Research Infrastructures in motion. The main aim of the consultation was to find trends and probable linked actions which could be applied at regional, national and European levels to support the long-term sustainability of Research Infrastructures. In this work, the outcome of the consultation is shown. It emphasises the necessity to strengthen industry involvement to create credible business models along with efficient governance models to enhance research infrastructures. In addition, already existing funding structures must be considered carefully to promote synergies.
Based on such previous work ONLINE S3 set a focus on the entrepreneurial discovery process across different activities.
